The Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA) is a member-based organization dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of the profession of Massage Therapy and advocacy of its members locally, provincially and nationally.

In order to join the MTAA and become Active Member applicants must have a Diploma in Massage Therapy with a minimum education level of 2,200 hours and meet all membership requirements.
The MTAA is a professional nonprofit Association that was incorporated in 1953 and is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of MTAA Members located and practicing in the Province of Alberta. The MTAA Board of Directors strives to ensure that all members maintain the highest standards of practice in Alberta.
